Jimmy Buffett Taligating Information:
In preparation for the arrival of Jimmy Buffett and his adoring fans known as the “Parrot Heads”, the City of North Little Rock and the North Little Rock Visitors Bureau are preparing the North Shore River District and the Argenta Arts District for the estimated 17,000 visitors.
North Little Rock is expected to be the focal point of all-day festivities leading up to the 8:00 p.m. concert at Verizon Arena on March 1. Off Riverfront Drive, 103.7 The Buzz will host a FREE tailgate party with live entertainment adjacent to the I-30 Bridge south of the seawall from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. Admission will be free to the general public. Gates will be open from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. for tailgating south of the seawall. Sites are available based on a first come first serve basis. No vehicles will be permitted south of the seawall after 3 p.m. General parking will be available all day with certain business parking lots being available after 5 p.m. Visitors are reminded that Main Street parking is limited to 2 hours during business hours and posted parking restrictions will be enforced. Visitors are also encouraged to visit the following websites for the complete parking map, North Little Rock Visitors Bureau (www.northlittlerock.travel), City of North Little Rock (www.northlittlerock.ar.gov), Verizon Arena, Argenta Arts Foundation (www.argentaartsdistrict.org), and the North Little Rock Chamber of Commerce (www.nlrchamber.org).
For those looking to stay overnight and close to Verizon Arena, a limited number of RV reserved camping sites are available through the Downtown Riverside RV Park at 501-340-5312.
For more information on parking or events down at the river, please call the North Little Rock Visitors Bureau at 501-758-1424.

Parking
OPTION #1: General parking around Verizon, it will cost you any where between $10-$20.
OPTION #2: Parking in the tailgating lot #2, it will cost you $20. The difference is there will be security, porta-potties, trash containers, BBQ grills (gas & charcoal) are permitted, and there will be a place to dump hot coals.
If we have enough people say they are interested in prepaying for option #2, they might offer us an opportunity to purchase them early. You will have an answer on this NLT 8 FEB, I promise.
There are 200 parking spots in lot#2 (the tailgate area).
If we do not get to purchase a spot early, it will be first come first serve.
For those that have not seen it......
Welcome to the “Party South of the Sea-wall”
RV Info:
RV parking also includes 1 automobile parking pass.
If you are bringing an RV, the RV Park requests that if at all possible – you bring your rig in on Wednesday, the day before the concert. They will only charge you half price for that day for doing so.
The tailgate and RV areas will open at 8:00am, and will close at 3:00pm no matter what for motorized traffic. If you have an RV, and you take your auto out of the park and you want to come back into the park and it is 3:01pm, you will have to find somewhere else to park. All gates are foot traffic only after 3:00pm.
There are still about 40 dry camping (no utilities, or sewer) spots available. Contact Sheila at 501-340-5312 for reservations.

Misc
The key thing to remember and share with our phellow parrotheads is that the “party is south of the seawall.”
Golf carts are allowed as long as they stay off River Front Drive, and keep south of the seawall. NLRPD said have fun but don’t get crazy, they will intervene, and cite for drunk driving, disorderly conduct, etc. if a situation escalates. There is a location south of the Buzz’s location under the bridge where you can take a golf cart from the RV Park to the tailgate area.
NLRPD wants to work with us on creating the perfect Buffett concert ambiance, but we have a responsibility as well. They will allow alcohol in such things as; “red solo cups”, tervis mugs, etc., but do not walk around with bottles and cans. Cover your kegs as well, don’t make them obvious.
This is NLR’s current administration’s first Buffett concert here, so let’s try to make it as hassle free and memorable for them as it will be for us.
If someone walks into the tailgate, or Buzz’s area with a beer, that’s ok, the individual will have to consume it before they leave the area.
Nudity is not encouraged, although usually appreciated, desecration is the word.
Popups are allowed and encouraged.
These rules still apply:
We cannot sell anything on Verizon arena property.
They would like of us to discourage people from towing in their boats for tailgating because of parking issues. Of course, we are not talking about boats on the river.
As long as alcohol is consumed in cups and not “obvious” there will be no problem with NLRPD. Of course, it cannot be taken into the arena. Per our friend Joe Smith, “just don’t have such a good time that you keep someone else from having a good time.”
No open fires can be made on city property.
