The LR PHC Executive Council met at US Pizza on Rodney Parham, LR.

Attending was President Paul Tull, and lovely wife Stephany; Vice President Frank Butler, and lovely wife Jaylene; Treasurer Tim Simpson, and lovely wife, Kaye; and last but not least…the lovely and talented Community Service Coordinator Brandie Mauldin.

After food and drinks were ordered the discussions began:

1] 2006 meetings – the club is going mobile it was decided this evening, and a switch from Friday nights to the 3rd Thursdays was also passed unanimously.  This was done in an effort to attract more PHolks and increase the attendance at these monthly PHlockings.

Potential meeting sites are being contacted and exact locations will be posted on the clubs web site calendar well in advance of PHlockings!  We hope this will allow more members and potential members to attend, and it will also facilitate more of a “fun meeting” atmosphere.

2] Officer elections will take place in April.  Terms will be for two years.  Club bylaws to reflect this and other official club issues are being drafted and reviewed by club officials.

3] Membership was discussed. Club treasurer Simpson and Keeper Of the PHlock Jim Cater will soon meet and consolidate all club membership forms.  In the future, all applications will go to the treasurer with dues, and a copy will be sent to the KOP.  The KOP is responsible for member retention.

3A] An accurate number of members is required by PHiP, and an annual report is forwarded to the director of membership of PHiP.  Concert ticket distribution is also based on the number of members so we must know who is current.  Non-current members must be contacted via phone, email etc by the KOP and an effort to retain members will be made.  Some members will simply have forgot to pay their dues, others will not know they are delinquent.

4] Frank is the oPHicial ticket guru now.  He will be responsible to contacting Buffett’s management agency for our allotment of concert tickets the oPHicial clubs are eligible for.  More info will follow as next year’s tour schedule is announced.

Food and beverages were consumed, more beverages ordered and consumed…you get the picture.  The meeting was adjourned after the “team drink” ritual was practiced and practiced until it was perfected.  Fun was had by all.

PS: All meetings are open to members in good standings!
