2. Old Bidness:
A. Club Shirts are going to happen soon. We are looking for sponsors to help with the first batch, so if you know a bidness that might be interested let Prez Paul T. know asap. Hopefully everything will be finalized and printed in the next 10-14 days.
B. Garage Sale Fundraiser will take place next Spring.
C. Starting January 2005 the club is going mobile. Our meeting will be held at various locations around central Arkansas. If there is enough interest we will head to Conway one month! Ask your favorite hangouts if they would be interested in having us over for an evening of fun.
Each month’s location will be posted weeks in advance on the new calendar on our web page. We will continue Phlocking on the 3rd Friday of each month as we always have, except under special circumstances.
3. New Bidness:
A. Spring Fling: Next Spring our club along with The NW Arkansas (Fayetteville) and The North East Texas Parrotheads will be hosting a big Parrothead bash in Hot Springs. This is going to be the real deal with entertainers, food, and plenty of Parrotheads from all over the region in attendance.
Anyone interested in helping out let Paul T. know and he can update you on what has happened thus far. The date should be finalized on 10-22-05. Stay tuned.
B. Christmas in Paradise: Instead of the usual Phlocking on December 16th, we will have our Christmas Party on the 17th of December at Joni & Russ Carl’s house in North Little Rock. Watch your email and our web site for more information, directions and what you can expect as December nears. Thanks Joni & Russ, but remember…We are the people our parents warned us about J!
Evening Highlights: Congratulations to our own Jim Cater who won the Tina Turner Dance contest. Jim bested more than a half dozen wanna-be dancers at Ernie Biggs Friday night. Jim, we’re not worthy!
That was the beginning of an evening of pure piano pleasure topped by a rousing rendition of “It’s 5 O’Clock Somewhere” when our club banners were raised and waved to the crowd. Everyone in the club raised the roof! We even signed up a new member! Fun was had by all in attendance.
